Tonight, we FINALLY say goodbye to 2020. It has been…. something none of us have ever experienced or expected. For some, it has been a time to look in the mirror perhaps for the first time and see the truth through another’s eyes. For many the proverbial bear has been poked one time too many. Some remain ignorant to the world around them. Let’s use tonight and the days to come to reflect on what was. Try to determine our role in this game called life. If you haven’t already, use the first week or so of the new year to define some major goals you’d like to achieve this year. If necessary, dust off your List-o-matic 5000 and make it happen!
Let’s look for the good from 2020. Trust me it is there. You just have to dig deep to find it. I know… I almost threw away my shovel looking for it. By no means do I intend to, or request that you forget the insanity that was 2020. It will always be there under our skin, changing us forever. I’m saying if you live in the past, you don’t grow. I’m saying strive to make the world a bit better each day. If that is too big a task, narrow it down… your country, region, state…keep going, city/town, neighborhood, block all the way… strive to make your family, yourself a bit better each day.
Be grateful for all that has happened this year. Be grateful for the ups and downs. The ups are awesome and the downs, some of them pretty major have opened many eyes and educated others. Remember those souls we have lost. Hold the memories of them in your hearts. Rejoice in the new lives that have joined us on this ride called life. All around us are opportunities for learning and growth. We ARE blessed and if we approach life with our eyes, our minds and our hearts open we have a better chance of seeing the beauty, love and abundance that awaits us all. I’m still here on The Edge…. Wishing that 2021 be all that you need and more than you expected! Please stay safe tonight. If you choose to travel do so with respect for yourself and others. Call on the Deity of your choice to bless us all as we ring in the New Year in a different fashion.
