    Hello Readers,
As you may have noticed, it has been a minute since my last post.  My previous post asked you to answer 5 questions about your experience with my blog.   I wanted to know if my words fulfilled a purpose beyond me clearing space in my brain.
Here are the results of that post:

Can ya help a Sista out?

Hello everyone… this month’s blog post is different. In this one I am asking for your help.  Don’t panic I’m not asking you to buy or sell anything!

I started this blog 2 ½ years ago. When I first created it, people asked me “What is your blog about?”.  My answer was somewhat vague.  My thought was that is just a platform for me to express myself.  The content would be whatever I chose it to be.

I didn’t want it to be the same as so many cookie cutter blog sites that exist.  As a result, you all have gotten a peak into my life, my beliefs, my hopes and dreams.  I have chosen to share them willing with those of you that care to come along for the ride.

Today I find that I still struggle to define what my blog is about.  I have some ideas, but I’d like to know what impact my blog has on you the reader.  My home page says:

    Ready, Set, Go!!

Play should be a major part of everyone's life. Why do so many of us believe that once we are past our childhood, play has no place in our lives? Having fun and playing is part of life, hopefully from beginning to end, and many times in between.  Children are the masters of playing and having fun. They embody this ability naturally. Adults have to work at it, and we could learn a thing or two from them.

45 Minutes to Hell and Back

    7 AM Alarm!
All I really want to do is throw the phone. Instead, I swipe to dismiss the godawful noise. Before the voice in my head convinces me to fall back asleep, I get up, get dressed and plod downstairs zombie like.

She says, “Go back to bed. The covers are nice and warm.”

Still wishing I were back in bed I manage to change from my house shoes to my gym shoes.  I drag my sleepy ass downstairs to the basement, turning on only one light (it’s better this way, trust me).  After putting resistance bands and stability ball in place I slowly start the first of a two-set circuit. I often think about doing 3 sets but that would require me to get up earlier and I’m not that evolved yet.

    Goodbye to 2020

Tonight, we FINALLY say goodbye to 2020. It has been…. something none of us have ever experienced or expected. For some, it has been a time to look in the mirror perhaps for the first time and see the truth through another’s eyes. For many the proverbial bear has been poked one time too many. Some remain ignorant to the world around them. Let’s use tonight and the days to come to reflect on what was. Try to determine our role in this game called life. If you haven’t already, use the first week or so of the new year to define some major goals you’d like to achieve this year. If necessary, dust off your List-o-matic 5000 and make it happen!

Week 4 – Point of (No??) Return

So, recently I was looking through some old files and ran across submissions from my first blog. The Edge of fitting in is my first personal blog. This is from a blog that was a required component of a class I took a few years ago. The Master Key Experience as defined by their website is “A Guided Journey of Self Discovery and Personal Achievement”. I can tell you it is just that. 26 weeks of looking in the mirror and learning who you are. I learned some things that were holding me back. There are exercises that to me, seemed corny and ineffective when I first learned about them. It wasn’t until I learned why they work and actually practiced them that I understood and experienced the change in belief, and the change in me. This post speaks to forming habits both good and bad.
